Love. Community. Life.
Hope is a Powerful Medicine.
SEATTLE HOPE AT A GLANCE
Here at Seattle Hope, we provide a message of hope, community and acceptance to local children with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. Through a calendar full of ongoing events, and a supportive, empathetic community, we surround these amazing kids and their entire families with love and with the message that hope is a very powerful medicine.
90% of children with cancer, who can make it to the end of their treatment program, will survive. Our goal is to do anything we can to enhance a child's life, and increase their strength and hope to fight.
Our work is powerful and unique.
We offer ongoing, highly-anticipated free events and activities, for the child and their entire family.
When a child finishes with their treatment, they are still part of the Seattle Hope program! We connect them with other children who are beginning a similar journey - and something magical happens.
This builds a vibrant, empathetic and powerful community that gives encouragement, support and life!
We come alongside these precious children and their families with a message of love, life and hope.
Seattle Hope fills a child's life with free ongoing, high-anticipated events such as movie screenings, sports events, theater, concerts, or other fun activities to which the child & their entire family is invited. This helps the family stay strong and together, and these events become highlights on a calendar often filled with difficult treatments and hospital stays. This helps a child look forward to the future with excitement and hope, increasing their ability & willingness to fight.
There is nothing quite like having someone who truly understands. One of the most powerful, unique aspects of Seattle Hope is that we introduce children who are now cancer-free and healed, to children who are just beginning a similar journey. It is magical when hope is restored, and they see that this is a fight they can win. The kids, and their families, get to know each other and develop life-giving community, filled with love and support.
